What Do I Know, Anyway? Experts! [bemused]

Once again, months after reality was established here, the “experts” are finally catching up. A recent example is when Charles Krauthammer said he was finally getting the Trump effect. People had tired of the same old formulaic, often weak-kneed Republicans and wanted something new. They found Trump’s brash delivery irresistible. That was on FOX Special Report about a month ago.

Streetpolitics.us had already established that before there was a Trump running for office. It’s a source of frustration that this site hasn’t hit its stride yet, despite being ahead of everyone on most things and having a solid grasp of today’s political climate. It has led, and will continue to lead to a string of I-told-you-so posts. That is not for the pleasure of just saying it, although it can occasionally be fun.   The intention is to point to lessons learned in the hopes we don’t have to learn them again. Sadly, until Street Politics gains a real niche, I told you so will be a frequent message.

Gee, thanks, Judge!

The latest unwitting convert to clear thinking is Andrew “Judge” Napolitano, a popular commentator on FOX and FOX Business. He was commenting on a story about the FBI’s unethical whitewash of Clinton’s illegal server. It seems the agent who ran the investigation has resigned from the FBI in protest. He said the investigation went “sideways”. In other words, there was a lot of activity, lots of interviews, lots of immunities granted without requiring testimony. But there was never any real progress. Progress was never intended. The last straw was that no grand jury was seated to hear the mountain of evidence showing Hillary Clinton heading up at least one, likely two criminal enterprises.

So Much for “Experts”…

Napolitano was so smug. “This investigation was never going to go anywhere,” he opined after the fact. It was as if he knew it all along. This would be the same Andrew Napolitano who said for months that since the FBI was running and investigation, Clinton was in REAL trouble! That James Comey is a REAL professional. He wasn’t going to get caught up on all that DC corruption.

Well, readers at this site knew months before everybody (with the possible exception of Judicial Watch) that the FBI was slow-walking the investigation with the intention of running out the clock. The idea was to get as close to the nomination as possible. The Clinton team, including James Comey, wanted to make Clinton’s candidacy a fate accompli. I suspect it early on and called it before Comey disgraced himself and whored away his career in front of congress.

Call this braggadocio, if you wish. My point is to establish the value of this site and encourage you to filter what you see and hear through streetpolitics.us. It isn’t necessary for you to agree with my conclusions. But you can be sure that you are getting informed input. I am clearly in no one’s pocket, as no one pays me but me.

Making the Old New Again

Another bit of breaking news in the last couple of days: Obama sent official documents to Hillary on her unsecured, illegal server. My God! That means he lied to us – TWICE – in one-on-one interviews. Barry O says he first learned about the illegal server by watching the news.

Call me crazy, but didn’t we learn he had a pseudonym for use in communication with the illegal server about 5 months ago? Didn’t we establish the lies to credulous “journalists” on video then? Why is this breaking news? And why didn’t the investigation include Barry’s release of classified documents onto the interwebs in concert with BJ Bill’s wife?

We’ll likely never know the answers to these questions. Congress is too weak and inept to do their job and the press is too interested in elevating the worst president in history to the level of Washington and Reagan.

A Lesson in Lib Think!

I am working very hard, here and on Social Media, to prevent the desecration of the Oval Office.  By that I mean I want to defeat Trump and the felon.  But I decided to take a short break to provide a lesson in Lib Think.

Despite my incredibly low opinion of him, I have to throw the bullshit flag when he is right but the world is getting the vapors over something he said.  The media have their collect panties in a bunch over Trump not promising to respect the election results in November.  Chris Wallace asked if he would and he said he’d wait and see if he’ll respect the returns.  It was a throw-back to an equally ridiculous question posed at the first GOP debate when Bret Baier.  He asked who among the candidates would NOT promise to support the eventual nominee.  All hands should have gone up.  That would be the responsible answer.  But only Trump’s hand went up.

Picture this.  Two nine-year old boys are standing on a garage roof.  One says to the other, “Okay, I’ll jump into the baby pool down there.  But no matter what happens, you have to promise to jump too.  Do you promise?”

That is the level of stupid loaded in the questions above.  Last year, who among the candidates could know whether the eventual nominee might do or say something that would be just too egregious to support?  What if Marco Rubio came to suspect Chris Christie of something very wrong?  It got even more pathetic when North Carolina required candidates to sign a pledge to support a nominee before the primaries were held.

This week, on his usually inept, fumbling fashion, Trump said he would wait and see before he supported the election results.  The incredibly arrogant Barack Obama sullied his office by not only entering the fray on this issue, but stated that Trump was dangerous.  Oooooo! How ominous that someone should say that they need to see an event occur before pledging to uphold the results of the event.

Clearly, Obama thought Al Gore was a dangerous, unpatriotic villain for daring to question the results in Florida.  Hey, W was declared the winner.  That’s it!  Everyone shut up and go to bed, right?  And how about that treasonous John Kerry saying he got robbed in Ohio?  What an anti-democratic bastard!  How dare he speak his mind when he thinks something might be amiss.  We Americans need to sit down and keep our mouths shut, no matter what happens on election day.  The last thing we need people doing is shaking the foundation of our republic by saying ANYTHING about an election like these two monsters did.

Never mind seeing Democratic operatives BRAGGING about how they use dead people, criminals and illegal immigrants to vote.  We need to pretend we didn’t hear that Clinton’s people were hiring losers to start fights at Trump rallies.  Trump is just anti-American.  Trump’s opponent is a black hole where ethics go to die.  But he is supposed to assume she won’t stoop to any low to get what she wants.  He should just put his hand in the air and swear to support the winner, no matter what.

To all the pundits blathering about how terrible Trump is over this episode, well… let me be succinct. SHUT UP, YOU DROOLING SHIT BAGS!  Trump may be the second worst presidential candidate in history, but he is right on this.

The Lesson:

The left and everyone in the media know Trump is right on this issue.  But it doesn’t fit their political plan.  So they must take truth and turn it around 180 degrees and make it lie.  Then take a lie and do the same thing, magically making it truth. A similar example is how they cried all last month about the Russians rigging our election and scoffing endlessly at Trump for saying – CORRECTLY – that the Dems are rigging the vote all over the country.

Keep following the 24-Day Revolution.

Trump is Right About Clinton and the Media!

In a previous post, I blasted Donald Trump and his childish tantrum at his last press conference. I have never witnessed such a display of petty girlishness in all my life. I mean, I’ve seen adults behaving like total idiots, feeling sorry for themselves and lashing out in an immature way. But I have never seen that in a leading candidate for the Oval Office. But being utterly devoid of an argument, Trump does the only thing he knows how to do, hurl middle school insults and vapid, ill-considered phrases.

That said, he hit one nail right on the head. The press does have its head up its own ass when it comes to the ethical application of its trade.

Yesterday, I listened as Brit Hume, a journalist I respect, miss the mark completely in what he considers the upshot of the Trump debacle. He basically recounted Trump had said he would donate $1 million to a veteran’s charity (that was true). A reporter, followed up on that promise last week. That reporter found out there was no donation made. The Trump campaign’s reaction seemed to indicate more damage control than action and rushed a few donations out. This sent the press into a feeding frenzy.

When reacting to Trumps embarrassing petulance, Hume said quite heatedly, “He made a claim…and a reporter followed up on it; asked questions. It’s what we do!” But Hume is only theoretically correct. The reporter DID have every right to ask a tough question about the veterans donation claims Trump has been boasting about since the debate he skipped.

BUT, when you compare the media’s vociferous pursuit of a donation not being completed by a date certain, to the ginger, almost frightened way most have handled Trump’s opponent, you must agree with Trump’s basic premise, if not his silly antics.

The fact is Hillary has given reporters concrete reasons to ask a simple battery of questions over and over again until they get answers from her. Just a short list includes Benghazi, the illegal server, the Clinton Foundation and the canvassing for donations from foreign entities and foreign governments (which include North Korea for chrissake! You can’t make this up!) There is a stinking pile of criminal activity and incompetence at work here. But you would think the only thing the American media smells is a bit of administrative difficulty on Clinton’s part.

It is long overdue that the media start to treat BJ Bill’s wife the way they treat every republican. That includes FOX News. FOX is bending over backward to try to prove they don’t have an editorial bias. They don’t want anyone to say they are mean.

There are exceptions, of course. James Rosen and Katherine Herridge are pretty thorough. But, if the wider media give Clinton the same weight of concern they demonstrated with Trump this week, Rosen and Herridge should be pushing out the lead story, Clinton’s criminality, every night until the felon leaves the race.

Compare a donation getting blown off for a few months to people killed by Clinton’s incompetence.  Or compare it to tens of millions of dollars of influence sold brazenly by Clinton – TO FOREIGNORS! Compare not making a charitable donation to multiple national security laws broken by Clinton to skirt congressional oversight and her own State Department.

Perspective!

Trump Was Actually Right On This!

If this guy gets it, what’s your problem?

I am still waiting for Trump to demonstrate even a rudimentary understanding of the office he pursues. To date, we must wait for the completely disassociated translations of his rants to hear what he meant on ANY subject. So when he gets something right, I celebrate!

The loyalty of the left-wing media to BJ Bill and his ethically bankrupt wife defies belief. I have always said there is no creature more pig-headed and obedient than the modern “progressive”. I have to giggle when I use that word because there has not been a clear-minded liberal in real leadership in this country since JFK. He would find “progressives” as narrow-minded and non-progressive as I do.

Since Bill Clinton decided to sexually harass his intern and other women, and then lie about it all under oath, as a sitting president, the media have tripped over themselves to abandon their supposed principles and cover for him.

Before I go any further, let me clarify something. What two consenting adults do in private is none of my business. I am the last person in the world who would call some one out for any type of consensual sex.  Sex, in my book, is never a bad word. It’s awesome!

But that is simply part of my world view. As a matter of law, I am obliged to accept the limitations placed upon us all to live up to a certain level of decorum. For example, when a president has sex with someone, it is only sex. It is none of our business. But when a President breaks the law and has an affair with an intern; when a sitting Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces intentionally pursues an affair his subordinates are routinely punished for; when the primary executive charged with protecting the constitution lies, in court, about sex with said subordinate; when that President exposes himself to blackmail by political opponents and our enemies; then even the most obtuse commentator is obliged, by reason alone, to call that president a criminal.

But not in our media. The policy of most of the American media is to meekly submit to their political betters and carry water for them. And that sick relationship between the press and the Clintons has continued uninterrupted since Bubba announced his candidacy for the Oval Office.

I mention this because the dandies in most media outlets have picked up the talking point assigned to them and declared BJ Bill’s crooked little schledium to be off-limits in this election. We are told Donald Trump crossed “the line” when he brought it up.

The real Hillary

Here’s why Trump was absolutely, undeniably right to call out Mrs. Bill Clinton over her husband’s behavior: She was the enabler who repeatedly allowed for Bill’s low treatment of women over decades. She was the architect of the character assassinations of anyone who spoke the truth about Bubba’s adolescent sexual pursuits. She was the person who attacked women who made rape allegations, thus enabling BJ Bill to go on to abuse more women. Since she lies about all that to this day, she is that same vicious unethical person today as she always was. Hillary Clinton is of a character both undeserving and too dangerously self-absorbed to serve as our representative to the world.

So in calling out the Clintons on Bill’s past, and in some cases, very recent past, Trump is nailing a character issue that is more clearly universal and real than any raised in a campaign in modern times (with the exception of the illegal server). In fact this may be the only thing that will stand between Mrs. BJ and the White House. It is near certain the FBI Director, James Comey has offered the FBI to the Clintons for use as a tool. So the illegal server, for which she should be doing time, isn’t going to stop her.

So perhaps Hillary’s proactive support and encouragement of Bill’s abuses will.

It Is Happening As I Said It Would!

As I have warned countless times here, and in my book last summer, (example here) the press is starting to ratchet up the pressure on Trump; but only a tiny bit. The MSM, who have been carrying Trump since June, are almost 100% certain that he is going to be the nominee. So they feel confident enough to start tenderizing him.

In the last three interviews I’ve heard, the hosts are for the first time, pressing Trump to answer questions. The interview with Chris Matthews is one example. For months, when asked a tough question, Trump would meander through several disjointed thoughts, often falling back on how he built a great company. He kept a battery of stand-by distractors as well; look at my poll numbers, unfair, nice to me and believe me. The questioner might take a second stab at it and meet the same wall of mud. Then it would be on to the next question. But now, they are pressing until they get an answer. Matthews, who has a reputation as a hothead, effortlessly parried Trump’s non-answers until he got what he wanted – a predictably absurd response. They still haven’t opened up with all guns. That will come in July. But they are working their way up to it.

Have no doubt, it will happen. And it will be ugly. Trump has only now started to be challenged. And these first few punches, on abortion, the “arm pulling incident” and nukes, are so general, so basic, he should have been able to swat them away like gnats – and he couldn’t. He is not equipped. If the Donald thinks that having to follow party rules like everyone else is “very unfair”, wait until someone asks him a question about something he didn’t read on Twitter that day – and insists on a coherent answer!

I have been trying my best to warn people about this happening. But the parade marched on, everyone with big grins on their faces. The only times the grins would fade was when critics would point out Trump’s obvious, fatal flaws. Then the drones would attack the messenger, just as Donald does; just as (not too ironically) the Clintons have always done. And the parade moves on again, never challenging, never questioning.

Mark my words, and you’ve been reading it here for months already: If Donald Trump is the Republican nominee, within one week he’ll be interviewed. The interviewer will bring up a boatload of stuff networks have been sitting on since last year! The interviewer, whether it’s Matt Lauer or Megyn Kelly or whoever, will twist the knife and not let up until Trump is left stammering with a confused, angry look on his face. And then it will be over. Worse, it will be pathetically easy to set Trump back on his heels like this, even for the most inexperienced reporter in the business.

Later, he’ll complain that the question was “unfair”, as is every question he can’t answer. He’ll say he was “treated very poorly” as he always does when challenged. But the media that carried him all this time, and for this very reason, will laugh loudly at him. There will be no suggestions that he may have a point, in that odd way Trump may accidentally hit on something. There will be only a bonfire of scorn and editorial ridicule.

Remember John McCain. At the time he was running for the presidency, he was one of the most respected politicians in the country. He was an institution. Remember also, the campaigns were only slightly more civil eight years ago. Throughout the primaries, McCain’s biggest sales lines were his ability to work across the aisle and how much the press loved him. He called it being a “maverick”. The press used the same term and spoke glowingly of him. Then he was nominated. From that day until November, he couldn’t have bought a break from the media for love or money. And his favorable ratings going into the general election towered over what Trump sees now. Shredding Trump in a general election will be child’s play.

These words are not written to diminish Trump’s competencies. Just as Ben Carson was a gifted surgeon, but lacked the wide-ranging understanding a strong executive needs, Trump has his own arsenal of talents. He is better suited for an environment where he demands unstintingly what quarry a marble casino floor comes from, then commits the money to do it. This is where he has always and correctly been driven by personal gain and profit. But he lacks the dispassion and the ability to go beyond self-interest required to be the President of the United States. Such attributes are antithetical to the person of Donald J. Trump. Further, he demonstrates no aptitude for complexity and nuance.

Donald Trump would be a disastrous nominee. First, because he is not the man his followers think he is. But secondly, because no one wants to see the moment I described earlier, whether it is in an interview or a debate. It would not only ensure a Clinton presidency, but it would be pathetic beyond words to witness.

Spare Trump the disgrace. Save the country from Clinton. Vote for somebody else; anybody else.
